History of Nik Yazd Group

The history of production in the Shahvazian family dates back to 1953, when the father, Haj Nasser Shahvazian, began weaving traditional handwoven Yazd carpets in traditional workshops. Along this journey, in 1971, he established a modern industrial factory named Yazd Wool Industry in the city of Yazd to produce various types of yarn. This trend continued with the establishment and expansion of textile factories by him, embedding the belief in production, striving for lawful sustenance, and blessings into the fabric of the family. This path continued with the entry of his eldest son, Dr. Mohammad Shahvazian, into the field of production and innovation. In 1997, he laid the foundation for the first polymer pipe and fittings manufacturing company in Iran, named Yazd Baspar. Additionally, with the entry of his second son, Dr. Ali Shahvazian, into production and job creation, the Nik Baspar Yazd Company was established in 2001 by Dr. Mohammad Shahvazian in the Vali-e-Asr Industrial Zone on a 25,000-square-meter plot. Relying on experience, technical knowledge, effort, and dedication, the company began operations. With innovative thinking and the goal of improving the quality of materials used in the construction industry and aligning with global advancements, the company started producing various polymer pipes and fittings in accordance with international standards for use in construction, water, and sewage systems. In the shortest time, Nik Baspar Yazd, utilizing skilled labor and the most advanced machinery from reputable global brands such as Germany’s KraussMaffei with the latest extruder technology and Italy’s Sica, successfully produced polypropylene sewage push-fit pipes and fittings, as well as polypropylene pipes and fittings for hot and cold drinking water applications by 2003.

Subsequently, Marina Plastic Yazd Company was established in 2009 in the Yazd Special Economic Zone, utilizing the most advanced global machinery in the printing and packaging industry and employing the most experienced specialists. The company’s current products include PVC film and shrink labels, suitable for use in the packaging industry and printable for producing various types of shrink labels and cap seals. Notably, by using the best raw materials, state-of-the-art machinery, and an efficient quality control system, the company ranks among the top five PVC film producers in the country. Other services provided by the company include printing and laminating various types of packaging and labels such as OPS, CPP, PE, PETG, PET, BOPP, and more. The company’s printing and lamination services include eight-color heliogravure printing and two- and three-layer lamination. The company’s vision is to enhance the quality of packaging for the food, beverage, and hygiene industries with modern packaging that meets global standards. Being located in the special economic zone, the company has the potential for exports, expansion of international trade, and creating competitive advantages.

Following that, Paya Baspar Yazd Company, another downstream subsidiary of the Nik Baspar Group, was established in 2012 with the aim of producing five-layer and seven-layer pipes and fittings. Additionally, in 2013, this company successfully launched a compounding production line, manufacturing fire-resistant compound materials for use in the next generation of self-extinguishing push-fit sewage pipe and fitting systems, as well as household appliances, under the 3PFR brand.

Subsequently, Petro Palayesh Nik Yazd, the first small-scale refinery in Yazd province, was commissioned in 2012 in the Yazd Special Economic Zone. Its goal is to produce light and heavy hydrocarbons from gas condensates, with an annual capacity of 1.2 million barrels.

In line with the directives of the Supreme Leader to prevent the raw sale of gas condensates and contribute to the country’s foreign exchange earnings, this unit utilizes indigenous knowledge to produce light, medium, and heavy fractions from gas condensates. These products are exported to regional countries such as the UAE, India, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and others.

Petro Palayesh Nik Yazd holds the patent for a unique mercaptan removal process and is proud to have been recognized as an exemplary industrial unit and an outstanding exporter for consecutive years, continuing its operations with distinction.

Noavaran Tejarat Nik Parsis Company was established in 2017 with the aim of investing in startup projects. The first project of this company was an investment in an online store for Iranian handicrafts called Choonak. However, due to various reasons, including weak internet infrastructure, inadequate technical teams, and lack of customer interest in Iranian handicrafts, this project failed. Subsequently, the company shifted its focus to providing extensive services in the purchase, sale, distribution, and trade of mobile phones and their accessories, as well as importing and exporting these products.

In 2019, Nik Tab Noor Yazd Company, under the brand name “Loop Light,” began operations as the “largest manufacturer of LED strips, neon flex, and LED lighting profiles in the Middle East.” From its inception, the company aimed to produce high-quality products aligned with the latest global technologies for domestic consumers and Middle Eastern markets. This vision was realized through significant private sector investment, along with the dedication and efforts of innovative Iranian engineers and designers. The company’s guiding philosophy is rooted in the belief that Iranian consumers deserve the best and highest-quality products, and it spares no effort to achieve this goal. Continuing the path of development and job creation, and with the aim of supporting innovative ideas and knowledge-based products, Nik Protein Fardad Isatis Company was established to produce tilapia fish using an innovative, low-water-consumption method. Subsequently, through extensive activities in the fields of commerce, agriculture, and livestock, the company provides a wide range of services to both domestic and international customers. In the area of import and export of permitted commercial goods, it deals with live animals, animal products, livestock and poultry feed inputs, various types of meat, and grains, as well as the import of agricultural equipment. Additionally, in the livestock sector, the company is engaged in establishing livestock farms for various live animals, poultry, and aquaculture, as well as processing and packaging animal products, constructing slaughterhouses, and cold storage facilities with ancillary equipment across different parts of the country. The company is also active in sorting, packaging, and exporting agricultural products. Following this, Nik Isatis Investment and Energy Development Company was established in 2021 through a joint investment by the Nik Industrial and Investment Development Group and Isatis Pouya Investment Company. The company was formed to synergize capital markets and execute projects in the areas of financing, capital markets, energy, and oil and gas. The first collaborative project of this group was the establishment of Khabiri & Partners Exchange in 2021, aimed at facilitating foreign currency circulation for industrial entities and accelerating foreign exchange earnings for the country. The company is currently in the process of obtaining the necessary permits to establish the first publicly listed exchange in the country, in line with its mission and vision.

Alvan Baspar Nik Company, with the goal of producing high-tech and knowledge-based products, as well as supplying printing inks for its upstream affiliate, Marina Plastic Yazd, began producing printing inks in 2021 using the latest technical knowledge and advanced equipment.
